4x4 ban and socio economic issues along the Elephant Coast of KZN South Africa

This blog discusses the 4x4 BAN and its socio economic impact on the domestic tourism industry of the Elephant Coast along the eastern seaboard of KZN South Africa within the Umkhanykude district Municipality. The Association of Recreational Beach Users (ARBU) is of the opinion that the 4x4 ban in its current form is a violation of our collective economic rights in terms of section 24 of the south African constitution.

The ARBU and 4U2FISH teams need mandates to tackle political issues associated with management of local resources.

We will be using these petitions as mandates to tackle all related issues at every opportunity that we get focusing on local municipality IDP processes and any IWPA public participation process meetings where we feel that our input may have a positive impact on community resource use and related tourism development strategies.
