4x4 ban and socio economic issues along the Elephant Coast of KZN South Africa

This blog discusses the 4x4 BAN and its socio economic impact on the domestic tourism industry of the Elephant Coast along the eastern seaboard of KZN South Africa within the Umkhanykude district Municipality. The Association of Recreational Beach Users (ARBU) is of the opinion that the 4x4 ban in its current form is a violation of our collective economic rights in terms of section 24 of the south African constitution.

Obection to Notice 150 of 2013

Notice 150 of 2013 was published in the GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 1 MARCH 2013 and calls for comment on the draft legislation governing the access of the coastal zone to recreational use vehicles.

The ARBU - Association of Recreational Beach users is of the opinion that this legislation is a violation of our rights in terms of section 24 of the South African Constitution.
